I am truly glad to welcome participants from throughout Asia to the Asia Junior Sports Exchange Games 2019. I have been looking forward to this opportunity to see everyone give their all and the ever-increasing level of skill on display every year, so I sincerely welcome you.
We are now just a year away from the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020. I have heard that athletes participating in these games have been playing all over for the right appear in the Olympics, and I am sure you are making tremendous use of that experience.
Friendly matches such as these in your junior years serve as a chance for growth. Get a sense for how the ball feels when hit by players from other countries, and expand your horizons and range of play. This is also a perfect chance to expose yourself to different cultures and build deeper friendships.
I will be cheering you on in my role as an ambassador for these games, so that you can learn about the importance of teamwork and being grateful to all of those who support you, things that will benefit you in the future. In closing, I would like to express my deep gratitude to everyone who has helped host these games for their support and cooperation.
