Welcome to Tokyo, everyone from cities across Asia.
I am delighted that the "Asia Junior Sports Exchange Games 2024," a celebration of Asian sports, will be held here in Tokyo.
Despite the global suffering caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, I deeply respect the athletes who have unwaveringly faced their competitions with determination, representing their countries in tournaments as athletes in tournaments.
Even when engaging in a sport you love, representing your country and facing immense pressure can be both enjoyable and challenging, requiring meticulous effort and selfdiscipline.
However, continue to strive and build upon your efforts to enjoy the sport as a role model representing your country.
I believe that by doing so, a bright future awaits all of you.
